John Poremba, MD
Dr. Poremba is Board certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism, as well as Internal Medicine. Prior to joining Elliot Health System, he served as Chief of Medical Staff and Staff Endocrinologist at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. Dr. Poremba has been a member of the U.S. Air Force since 1983. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland and completed his residency at Keesler Air Force Medical Center, Biloxi, Mississippi. He obtained his Fellowship in Endocrinolgy at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas.

 

Krishna, R Bhaghayath, MD
Dr. Bhaghayath is board certified in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipidology, as well as Internal Medicine.  Prior to joining Elliot Health System, Dr. Bhaghayath worked in Nashua, NH as an Endocrinologist.  Dr. Bhaghayath received his Medical Degree from Gandhi Medical College, AP-India and completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas.  He obtained his fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas.  Dr. Bhaghayath’s clinical interests include, Thyroid Disorders, Thyroid Nodule Biopsies, Osteoporosis & Calcium Metabolism, Interpretation of Bone Density, Parathyroid Disorders, Pituitary Tumors, Adrenal Tumors, male Hypogonadism, Lipid Metabolism and Diabetes.

 

Shellie Hafer, APRN
Shellie Hafer, APRN is certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.   Prior to joining Elliot Endocrinology Associates, she worked at the Diabetes and Endocrine Center and Capital Endocrine Associates in Raleigh, NC.  She graduated from Duke University, Durham, NC with a Masters of Nursing in Acute Care and Cardiovascular Medicine in 2004.  Her undergraduate degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio in 2002 and an Associate of Science of Nursing from New Mexico Junior College, Hobbs, NM in 1992.  She has worked in several states as an ICU nurse prior to completing her Master's degree.   She has enjoyed working in Endocrinology since 2006.
