Osteoporosis / Dexa Scanning Project

This population includes female EPN patients aged 65 and above. Our overall goal is to improve outreach and care to our EPN patients who have not had a dexa scan or screening for osteoporosis.

The Elliot Physician Network currently follows and reports on dexa scans based on the following age groups and screening interval

  • Ages 65+ - at least one dexa scan in this age bracket
  • If a patient has a dexa scan before age 65 documented in their EPICare medical record, that result will satisfy the health maintenance topic
