Open Access Scheduling
Open Access Sceduling is a patient-friendly scheduling system that involves
making fewer appointments ahead of time and allowing more same-day
scheduling. This means access to same-day appointments for sick/urgent
visits and routine follow-ups.
Elliot Physician Network primary care providers staff a “Weekend After-Hours Clinic” on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Briarwood Primary Care (located near Elliot Hospital at 445 Cypress Street, Suite 5 in Manchester), allowing their patients the flexibility of being seen for acute matters over the weekend. A rotating schedule of on-call EPN providers will determine which doctor a patient sees at the clinic. If necessary, the physician on-call will follow up with the patient’s primary care provider. Patients access the clinic by calling their physician’s office. The Nurse or the on-call provider will discuss the patient’s symptoms and make a referral to the After-Hours Clinic.
