Welcome We would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about our services at The Elliot Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Center. The Elliot OMS Center has two oral surgeons, who care for patients with problem teeth, wisdom teeth and facial pain. They treat accident victims suffering facial injuries, place dental implants, care for patients with oral cancer, tumors and cyst of the jaws and perform corrective jaw surgery. The Elliot Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Center services include an extensive variety of treatment options including outpatient procedures in a clinical office environment and pre and post operative care for clients requiring more complex procedures in a hospital based setting. The OMS Center will provide oral and maxillofacial services to patients from the age of birth through the continuum of life.

He was educated at Farleigh Dickinson University, completed his internship through the U.S. Naval Services and in 1976 he started a practice in Manchester New Hampshire. On January 16, 2006 Dr. Provencher, in collaboration with Elliot Health System, opened the Elliot OMS Center. Blendi E. Babameto DMD - Dr. Babameto started practicing oral surgery in 1996 in England. He moved to the U.S. and attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Following his education he completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and has joined us following the completion of his residency in 2007.

Electronic Medical Records System Utilizing our state of the art Electronic Medical Record System, each physician has complete patient data (immunizations, allergies, lab results, etc.) at their fingertips to enable them to monitor your health needs more closely. If you call after hours, all physicians “on-call” can access this same information, thus providing excellent, all-inclusive care for our patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This robust Medical Record System also enables our office to electronically transmit prescriptions and refills directly to the pharmacy of your choice.

The OMS Center participates with most insurance companies and will submit a claim on your behalf. All patients should contact their individual plan for details in regard to out of pocket expenses for in and out of network plans. The Elliot OMS Center expects payment on the day of service, a 20% discount will be offered for all non-insured patients. We accept all major credit cards, cash and checks. Our Surgeons look forward to assisting you with your patient’s surgical needs.

PRACTICE MANUAL SCOPE OF CARE AND SERVICES The Elliot Hospital Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Center provides care to patients seeking treatment for disease processes and injuries of the facial region. Patient services include an extensive variety of treatment options including outpatient procedures in a clinical office environment and pre and post care for clients requiring more complex procedures in a hospital based setting. The OMS Center will provide oral and maxillofacial services to patients from age of birth through the continuum of life. The OMS Center is open from 7:00am-4:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Tuesday the Center is open from 7:00am-3:30pm, and Friday from 7:00am-11:30am. We offer comprehensive oral and maxillofacial services to the communities of Southern New Hampshire regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, marital status, sexual preference, or ability to pay. The physical layout of the OMS Center is comprised of a waiting area on a main corridor with a business office across the hallway. There is a corridor running behind the business office that the other areas of the center open onto. There are two procedural rooms equipped to address oral and maxillofacial examination, treatment, and procedural needs, a file/storage room, a post procedural waiting room, and a physician office and Radiology/Technician office located on the far side of the corridor across from the business office. Adjacent to the business office on the rear corridor is a break room, another file room, a copy room, a utility room for instrument processing, a dental lab room, and a compressor room. Please refer to attachment #1 for a diagram of the department. The OMS model for providing Patient Focused Care is to offer patient care and services with an emphasis on creating a supportive and healing environment for patients and families. The components of caring, continuity, competency and teamwork are the core of our model. Patient Focused Care provides a framework that enables the healthcare professional to meet patient and family needs more effectively and efficiently. |
