MEDICAL EXPLORERS PROGRAM
The Medical Explorer Program
Medical Explorers is a program for youth ages 14 to 20 with an interest in Medical Services. Students will also get hands-on experience, and see what it’s really like behind closed doors at the Elliot Hospital.
Students in our Medical Exploring Post will meet many professionals who will share their educational and work experiences. You’ll learn about their personal challenges and the rewards they’ve experienced in their profession. Students are also provided opportunities to tour our hospital campus and other off-site facilities.
Objectives
- Increase students’ knowledge of careers in the field of health care.
- Expose youth to healthcare professionals’ work environments at Elliot Hospital
- Provide youth with hands on experiences in healthcare settings.
- Provide educational, cultural, social, and recreational activities to increase the likelihood of students’ choosing a healthcare profession.
