Just in Case Program
Just In Case is a program available to seniors who have a medical condition that can result in them wandering or becoming lost in familiar places, becoming confused outside of his/her home, or being unable to identify himself/herself. Developed by the Manchester Police Department and the Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with The Elliot Senior Health Center and other local area hospitals, Just In Case allows the Manchester Police Department to identify a senior in the event that they become lost. A photograph of the senior and accompanying demographic information helps the police department recognize and/or locate people enrolled in the Just In Case program. People who consider using Just in Case include: those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, dementia, schizophrenia, epilepsy, diabetes and/or people on medications that cause disorientation or forgetfulness. This program is currently available to Manchester residents or seniors who are likely to visit the Manchester area. If you have questions, would like more information, or to enroll in the Just in Case program, please call the Alzheimer's Association at (603) 226-5868.
