OUTPATIENT TESTS/ PROCEDURES
Our unit prepares, monitors, and cares for children before, during, and after tests or procedures that are performed by or assisted by appropriate diagnostic departments. These are some of the tests and procedures we can accommodate, all tests require a physician’s order:
We encourage you & your child to come visit a few days before your child’s procedure. This pre-visit takes approximately 45 minutes, and is free of charge. The visit will include the following:

• Pre-registration if prior to 6:00 PM
• One-on-one interview with a Pediatric Nurse history and current illness
• Review of procedure and instructions
• Visit to the Pediatric Unit
• Obtain the child’s weight, medical
• Question and answer time
• Visit the procedure room, if possible
If this is a repeat procedure or you are unable to attend a pre-visit, a phone interview is recommended and necessary to review instructions and update current medical history. The Pediatric pre-visit nurse will obtain the information needed and review your child’s medical history and history of current illness. This would also be an appropriate time for your questions and answers. The call takes approximately 15 minutes and is free of charge.
