Elliot Hospital VolunTEEN Program Overview
The Elliot Hospital VolunTEEN program, a supervised teen volunteer experience, is very rewarding for the teen volunteer, the patients, visitors and staff.
VolunTEENs are young men and women between the ages of 14 and 17 who volunteer at Elliot Hospital beginning in June of any given year through the next school year. Enrollment in the program is limited. Applications to the VolunTEEN program are accepted once a year, usually in late Spring. Interested teens must completed the application process within a specified timeframe. The goals of the program are:
- To provide assistance to the patients, visitors and staff while enhancing the quality of care at The Elliot.
- To introduce teens to the health care environment and possible opportunities for future careers in health care.
