Anthem Q-HIPSMIn the fall of 2007, Elliot Hospital began partnering with Anthem’s (Q-HIPSM) quality hospital incentive program. The program is designed for meeting specific performance measures that focus on improving patient safety, health outcomes, and satisfaction. The actual performance measurements identified in the Q-HIPSM program are based on areas of patient safety and patient care processes that align with the Joint Commission, and other respected authorities. The Performance Improvement Department at the Elliot collaborates with key contacts throughout the hospital to gather the necessary information to share with Anthem to support our commitment to patient safety and positive patient outcomes. Examples of elements measured are compliance with National Patient Safety Goals such as reducing the risk of health care associated infections, National Hospital Quality Measures related to common conditions such as heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia.
