What Is Primary Care?
Our team of physicians provide a comprehensive list of services for their patients, ranging from infants to seniors. They are advocates for the patients by coordinating the use of the entire Elliot Health Care System in order to benefit the patient.
Are You Accepting New Patients?
Yes, we have six physicians currently accepting new patients. Please contact our office and we will assist you choosing the primary care provider who is best for you.
What Are Your Office Hours?
We see patients from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, and Friday; and 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Do You Accept All Insurances?
Our practice, as well as all other Elliot Physician Networks locations, participates with most insurance companies. We can provide you with a list of participating insurance carriers.
If I Were To Be Admitted To The Hospital, Where Would I Go?
Our patients are encouraged to utilize Elliot Hospital in Manchester. As an Elliot Physician Network practice, we feel the partnership with Elliot Hospital allows for a better quality and continuity of care. If you are admitted to a facility where our providers do not have admitting privilages, our office will be able to obtain your medical record from that facility pending your written release and provide follow-up care for you.
Do I Need Both An OB/GYN and Primary Care Physician?
As primary care physicians our doctors provide all aspects of your preventive healthcare needs including gynecoloogical screenings, ensuring that you are up-to-date with recommended immunizations, monitoring your risk factors for heart disease or cancer and more. However, our physicians do not provide obstetrical care during a pregnancy.
Do You Draw Blood For Lab Testing At Your Office?
Yes we do provide services for lab testing within our office
Your results will be reviewed as soon as received by your physician. You should receive your results within two weeks by mail or if you are a registered user of My E Chart, you can access these results electronically. If after that time you have not received these results, please contact our office.
How Do I Obtain A Prescription Refill?
As a user of My E-Chart you may request refills of your prescriptions electronically. All medication refill requests will be complete within 24 -48 hours. This time allows the nurse to review your request, forward it to the physician for approval, and contact the pharmacy. Those needing a mail away prescription should make certain our office is contacted two weeks prior to the prescription’s completion, in order to allow time for the request to be entered and the prescription to be returned.
How Are Appointments Scheduled?
We strive to use an “open access” approach to scheduling appointments, which allows most patients
to see their physician within 24 hours of their call for acute issues. You may also make appointments
via MY E-Chart .
What are Group Visits and When Are They Offered?
Elliot Primary Care at Londonderry offers group visits for diabetes. Group visits allow patients with similar needs the opportunity to see the physician for a longer period of time, increasing the amount of education and discussion. Group participants often remark on the more relaxed atmosphere and opportunities to ask questions and better understand their condition.
Do The Physicians Believe In Alternative Medicine?
Our physicians are open to this concept and are happy to discuss patients’ options on an individual basis.
Is There Anyone Available For Questions Or Emergencies After Hours?
Yes. Should you have a medical need, simply contact our office to be connected with a qualified nurse,
who will assess your medical need. A physician is available if necessary. Elliot Primary Care at Londonderry has implemented a state of the art Electronic Medical Record System that enhances the quality of care we are able to provide. Each physician has the ability to review your complete medical history to meet your medical needs.
Who Will I See If I Am Hospitalized Or My Child is Hospitalized?
Pediatric patients will be followed by either their own primary care physician or by one of the other Family Practice/Internal Medicine/Pediatric physicians.
Adults may be followed by one of the Elliot family practice physicians or by the Elliot Hospitalist Service. The Hospitalist Service is composed of Board Certified Internal Medicine specialists who work closely with your primary care physician to provide the highest standard of care. The Hospitalist service can often provide superior care when minute-to-minute decisions need to be made regarding patient care. In case of a hospital admission, your physician will determine which service is more suitable. This decision is often made on a case-by-case basis. In regards to admission decisions, you are welcome to discuss your preferences or concerns with your primary care physician.
