The Elliot Breast Health Center provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings to women who meet certain requirements. The screenings are offered at many health care sites throughout the state of NH and we are one of those sites. The program is for women age 21 – 64 who have no health insurance or have insurance that does not pay for screening tests and who meet the income guidelines.
For the Fiscal Year 2017, a total of 61 women were provided free screening and education through the Let No Woman Be Overlooked Breast and Cervical Cancer screening program for women through the state of NH and the CDC. We also assist women who would normally qualify for this program by setting them up with our Financial Advocates to get coverage through the Exchange. This has drastically decreased the number of women in our free screening program. We also see a number women with breast problems through this program as this program helps to cover the diagnostic testing that would normally be applied to high deductibles. The women who get coverage now have better access to other screenings and better access to medical care in general.
Call us directly for more information, to make an appointment, or to see if you qualify. You may also call 1-800-852-3345 ext. 4931 for information on other sites throughout the state.
