Children may develop or behave differently for a variety of reasons. To help figure this out and promote optimal development, your child may need a specialist with specific training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
The Department of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics provides consultations for children from Birth through 18 years of age who have developmental challenges. The specialist will spend time with you and your child, often over several visits, to ensure that your child’s and family’s needs are met and that your questions are answered.
If your child is not developing as expected, or has unexplained behavioral issues, your pediatrician or family doctor may refer you to one of our Developmental and Behavioral Pediatricians for further evaluation. We also take referrals from mental health providers, schools, early supports and services, and other agencies. Elliot's Pediatric and Adolescent Care Unit is proud to provide the community with the services of our experienced Developmental and Behavioral Pediatricians.
Our Developmental and Behavioral Pediatricians can help manage children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral problems, while collaborating with your child’s primary care provider to provide exemplary care. All close to home.
