Lawrence M. Hoepp, MD, FACS has over 30 years experience as a General, Vascular and Thoracic Surgeon and is ABMS Board Certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a member of the New England Surgical Society, New England Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Vascular Surgery and Eastern Vascular Society.
After receiving his Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, he completed his residency in Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Dr. Hoepp formed and practiced at General Surgical Specialists of New England from 1978 to 2008 at which time he joined Elliot General Surgical Specialists. He continues to serve as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Elliot Hospital, a position which he has held since 1994.
He has received many honors over the years including: the “Key to the City of Manchester” from Mayor Frank Guinta, the Elliot Hospital’s William S. Green Award for Excellence 2007 and a commendation from New Hampshire Governor John Lynch for his pioneering works in Vascular Surgery. For the past several years, Dr. Hoepp has been voted by his physician peers as “top doc” in the General Surgery and Vascular Surgery category in the New Hampshire Magazine Survey.
Dr. Hoepp specializes in all aspects of General Surgery including minimally invasive techniques and Endocrine Surgery. His vascular experience includes: Open and Endovascular, Arterial and Venous Surgery. He also has one of the largest experiences in NH in Aortic Aneurysm Stent Grafts. His thoracic experience dates back to 1978 and includes Non-Cardiac Thoracic Surgery and minimally invasive Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS).
Curtis J. Kloc, MD, FACS is American Board Certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After receiving his undergraduate degree at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, he returned to his hometown of Morgantown, WV and earned his Medical Degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. After residency Dr. Kloc practiced General Surgery in rural southern Maine for six years. Prior to joining Elliot Hospital he practiced at General Surgical Specialists of New England in Manchester.
Dr. Kloc enjoys all aspects of General Surgery including GI, Venus, Wound Care, Acute Care/Emergency and Trauma, and Advanced Laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, including Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
Daiying Lu, MD is American Board Certified in General Surgery. He received a Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and completed the General Surgery Residency Program at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, MA.
Dr. Lu enjoys all areas of General Surgery, including Laparoscopy, Endocrine, Colorectal, Acute Care and Trauma. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Spanish.
Chelsey N. Lewis, MD RPVI is American Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. She is a member of both the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, she earned her Medical Degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She also completed her Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Lewis joined Elliot General Surgical Specialists in April 2017 and offers a variety of treatment options for patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. She specializes in open and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), aortic and peripheral aneurysms (AAA), varicose vein treatment, dialysis access and vascular access, limb salvage procedures, vascular wound care, and cerebrovascular disease.
Dr. Quinn is a native of Peabody, MA. He performed his undergraduate medical school General Surgical training and Cardiothoracic Surgical training at Tufts University in Medford and Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He practiced Cardiothoracic surgery for 18 years in Milwaukee, WI where he was medical director of the multidisciplinary thoracic oncology program at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He then moved south where he developed an aggressive program for lung cancer screening and minimally invasive robotic lung cancer surgery in Charleston S.C. He was one of the first thoracic surgeons to adopt Navigational Bronchoscopy in 2008 and then combined it with robotic surgery to help target and remove small early lung cancers in a minimally invasive way. Dr. Quinn is also actively involved in the early use of Cryoanalgesia: a nerve freezing technique designed to minimize post-operative pain and help reduce opioids usage in post-operative lung surgery patients.
Dr. Quinn believes that the patent is the most important member of the healthcare team and that educating the patient and their family members will empower them with better decision making and ultimately result in improved outcomes. In a world of rapidly evolving medical advances he believes the goal of "personalized medicine" is to appropriately utilize the best medical technology available while respecting the patients basic rights and human needs. Healing should incorporate both the cold hard facts of science and the warmth of a human touch.
Dr. Quinn is married with 2 pre-teens and 2 millennials. He enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, pets and Star Wars.
Eric D. Adams, MD is American Board Certified in Vascular Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Military Vascular Surgeons, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the Society of Vascular Surgeons, the Lycoming County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. After graduating from the United States Military Academy West Point, he earned his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
With more than 20 years of surgical experience, Dr. Adams has developed a passion for carotid, aortic and limb preservation surgery. He has a strong background in minimally invasive endovascular surgery.
Dr. Adams enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing and bike riding with his wife and their 4 children.
Jennifer L. Weymouth, DO, FACOS has almost 20 years’ experience as a Trauma, Critical Care and General Surgeon and is Board Certified by the America College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and is specially trained and certified in Hyperbaric Medicine.
After receiving her Medical Degree from Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL, she completed her residency in General Surgery at Midwestern University and trained in minimally invasive surgery at the Chicago Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Weymouth is certified in advanced trauma, adult and pediatric life support. She is a voting member of the New Hampshire Medical Review Committee, and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association and the East Trauma Society.
Dr. Weymouth formed and practiced at Weymouth Surgical, LLC from and served as an attending surgeon at both Midwestern University and the Chicago Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. She went on to become a member of the NASCAR Trauma Team and played a role in establishing a system to provide trauma care to injured drivers on the field with helicopter transport to a local trauma center.
Dr. Weymouth served as a general surgeon, emergency room & trauma surgeon, and also provided wound care and hyperbaric medicine at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She went on to become a trauma consultant for Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH, where she later became their Trauma Medical Director and played a pivotal role in obtaining Level II Trauma Certification for the hospital.
Dr. Weymouth joins Elliot Hospital as their Director of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery.
Arina Ghaffari, MD received her Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care, Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She earned a Medical Degree and completed her General Surgery Residency at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. She is an alumnus of The Georgia Institute of Technology, holding bachelor degrees in both Applied Biology and Biopsychology.
Dr. Ghaffari’s areas of surgical expertise include: Acute traumatic operative intervention, emergency and advanced laparoscopic surgery, traumatic thoracic rib plating, critical care ultrasound, repair of acute vascular and thoracic traumatic injuries, use of REBOA in abdominal trauma, Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), complex abdominal wall hernia repair, and pediatric trauma.
Dr. Ghaffari joins Elliot Hospital’s Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery, bringing her experience from one of the Southeast’s busiest trauma centers to serve the New Hampshire community.
Dr. Ghaffari is passionate about taking care of both the victims of trauma and their families, treating each with empathy and humanity during what may be one of the most challenging times in their lives.When away from the hospital, she enjoys exploring new cuisines and spending time with her husband and three children.
Esthia K. Giakovis-Sterling, MD, FACS is American Board Certified in General Surgery. She is a member of the Society of Breast Surgeons, The Association of Women Surgeons, The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgery. Dr. Giakovis received her Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency in General Surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael, Yale University Affiliate, in New Haven, CT.
She practiced in Manchester, NH for many years before joining Elliot General Surgical Specialists where she specializes in all aspects of General Surgery, including Laparoscopic, minimally invasive surgery, Breast Surgery and Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy.

Sasha Sotirovic, MD is a member of Elliot Hospital’s Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Dr. Sotirovic attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons School in Ireland. He later went on to LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where he completed fellowship training in Trauma and Critical Care.
Dr. Sotirovic is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and has practicing in New England since 2010. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is fluent in English, Serbian and conversational French.
Lisa Guertin, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed a dual degree program at Seton Hall University in New Jersey and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in May of 2008. Lisa joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in October of 2008. She is primarily office based and manages the care of our surgical outpatients.
Allison Kalil, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed a dual degree program at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Science in 2004 and a Master of Science, Physician Assistant Program in 2006. Allison joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in February 2011.
Prior to joining Elliot General Surgical Specialists Allison was employed as a physician assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital .
Krysten Kalutkiewicz, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed a dual degree program at Springfield College in Springfield, MA earning her Bachelor of Science and a Minor in Nutrition in May 2014 and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in May of 2015. Krysten joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in August 2016 and now primarily covers our vascular surgery patients.
Mary is certified by the national commission on certification of physician assistants (NCCPA). She completed a dual degree program at Springfield College in Springfield MA earning a Bachelor of science and Certificate of Physician Assistant studies in May 2001.
Mary has experience in both Orthopedic and general surgery and joined EGSS in October 2017.
Mary is fluent in Spanish and when not at work she enjoys time with her husband and four children.
Tara Nelligan, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Tara joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists in May 2019. Prior to joining the Elliot team, she practiced in General Surgery at a community hospital in New Hampshire.

Lizabeth O’Connor, PA-C, MPH, CPHQ is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Liz obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Gerontology from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA in 2002 and in 2004 earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY. In 2016, she earned an additional Masters Degree in Public Health from UMASS Amherst. She also obtained her CPHQ (certified Professional in Health Care Quality) credentials in 2017.
She has worked as a surgical PA in upstate N.Y and Boston since 2004. Liz joined Elliot General Surgical Specialists in April of 2009.She has served in the role as Chief Surgical PA for general, thoracic, vascular, trauma and acute care surgery since 2017.
Eric Plumley is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA), with special recognition in surgery. He has a BS degree in Health Sciences form Northeastern University and carried his MS, PA from University of New England in 1998. Prior to his work as a PA, he was employed as a Paramedic in a busy urban system. He has worked in General Surgery and Surgical Specialties throughout his career. Eric joined Elliot General Surgical Specialists in 2012.
Eric is fluent in fly fishing.
Rebekah Sexton, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stonehill College and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University. Rebekah joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in January 2019. Prior to joining the Elliot team, she practiced in both MA and NH in Internal Medicine and General Surgery.
Ashley Swanson, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She received her bachelor degree from Wheaton College and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from MCPHS University in 2013. Ashley joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in March 2019. Prior to joining the Elliot team, she practiced Otolaryngology in both MA and NH. When not working Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and performing in musical theatre.
Daniel Taffe, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and completed his Master of Health Professions and Physician Assistant training at Northeastern University in 1999. Danny joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in August 2017. Previously he has worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester and at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City California.
Chris is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Chris obtained a bachelor’s of science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2003 and a Masters of Clinical Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Barry University in 2005 .Chris joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialist team in January 2018.
Prior to joining Elliot General Surgical Specialist Chris worked as a cardiac surgery and emergency medicine PA.
