Elliot 1-Day Surgery Center Expands Access to Outpatient Surgical Care

Elliot’s 1-Day Surgery Center has officially opened its newly expanded space – increasing access to outpatient procedures to better meet growing community needs. The expansion allows for improved ability to obtain high-quality outpatient surgical and endoscopic care for patients throughout Southern New Hampshire.

Located within the Elliot River's Edge medical office building, Elliot 1-Day Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ambulatory facility featuring 18 pre-operative rooms, 6 operating rooms, and 12 post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) bays. In 2025, the facility performed 8,669 procedures. The expansion added 6 dedicated procedure rooms to offer patients a better experience by delivering greater convenience to high-quality outpatient care.

"Increasing capacity at Elliot 1-Day also ensures procedures are performed in the most appropriate and specialized clinical setting for their condition.”

The new procedure rooms increase the center's ability to accommodate pediatric and adult endoscopies as well as other minor surgical procedures. Now larger operating suites may be used for higher-acuity cases, including general surgery, orthopedic, spine, gynecologic and urologic procedures. The enhanced outpatient capacity also creates additional availability at Elliot Hospital for patients who require more complex surgical care.
