Mary & John Elliot Foundation to Host Women’s Leadership and Health Breakfast, Feb. 18

The Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation will host its inaugural Women’s Leadership and Health Breakfast on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the Bedford Event Center. The event will feature female leaders in the health care and business industries and will include engaging panels and insights centered around entrepreneurship, encouragement, and empowerment. 
 
The event will be emceed by Elliot Health System’s Chief Nursing Executive and Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services, Martha Dodge, RN, MSN. Lynn Faherty Zimmerman, owner and publisher of Greet Bedford and Greet Windham, will serve as panel moderator.
 
The Women’s Leadership Panel will include Jennifer Wilder, founder of Laney & Lu, Palette, and Ginger Fox Bakery; Andrea Hechavarria, president & CEO of New Hampshire Life sciences; and Dr. Carrie Decato Ayers, anesthesiologist at Amoskeag Anesthesia and Elliot Hospital and owner of six Playa Bowls locations across New Hampshire. Jennifer, Andrea, and Dr. Ayers will share stories of entrepreneurship and empowerment and answer questions from attendees. 
 
The Women’s Health Panel will feature Elliot Health System leaders including Dr. Maria Braley (Boylan), medical director of Primary Care; Dr. Jessica Sutherland, FACC; board-certified interventional cardiologist with Elliot Cardiovascular Consultants; Dr. Lara Hanlon, FACOG, obstetrician-gynecologist with Bedford Commons OB-GYN and immediate past president of Elliot Hospital’s Medical Staff; and Dr. Lana Shikhman, FACS, director of Breast Surgery and co-director of the Elliot Breast Health Center. 
 
The Women’s Leadership Breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. with coffee and networking.  Breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. and will conclude with a Valentine’s Day themed pop-up boutique, and networking at 9:30 a.m. Event tickets are $75.
