Team Elliot Recognized as Community Challenge Champion!
The American Red Cross recently recognized Elliot Health System as the 2026 Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive Community Challenge Champion, after 29 Elliot team members donated at the annual drive - the largest and longest running blood drive in New Hampshire!
Michael Singer, Co-chair of the Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive (and Gail Singer’s son) along with Stephanie Couturier, Regional CEO, American Red Cross, Northern New England present the award to Dr. Greg Baxter, president and CEO.
Coincidentally, the 2026 drive was held soon after the American Red Cross issued only its second blood crisis alert in history – and Team Elliot answered the call. The goal of the lifesaving blood drive was clear – collect 1,000 units of blood to support patients, especially those maternal health patients, who are often in critical need. With the support of Team Elliot, 1,037 blood donations were collected, and countless lives were positively impacted.
From August 2025 to July 2026, 91 Elliot patients received a total of 407 units of blood critical blood transfusions – which represented a combination of red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, and platelets.
Stephanie Couturier, Regional CEO, American Red Cross, Northern New England, shared, “We extend our sincere congratulations and gratitude to Elliot Health System for their commitment to helping patients in need and for inspiring their employees and supporters to donate blood.”
