Ostomy Care

Ostomy Care

Ostomy care services are provided by nurse practitioners who specialize in ostomy care and are certified by the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Association.

Overview

Our providers assist patients who have or may soon undergo ostomy surgery, including those with a colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy or ileal conduit. Our ostomy services begin with pre-operative education and counseling to prepare you for this life-changing surgery.

Following surgery, our experienced team can help you maintain your quality of life through ongoing follow-up and education, including:

  • Evaluation of appliance fit
  • Ostomy care
  • Supply ordering advice
  • Diet and nutrition counseling
  • Evaluation and management of stoma complications and associated skin conditions
