The only dedicated pediatric emergency department in Southern New Hampshire is at Elliot Hospital and is staffed by specialists in pediatric emergency medicine. Your child is cared for in a friendly environment that caters to the specific needs of children who face illness or injuries.
Elliot Health System is proud to have the only Pediatric Emergency Department in New Hampshire. Our providers are ready to provide you with the same safe, compassionate care we always have.
We are here and it’s safe to bring your child into the hospital if they need medical attention. Over the last several weeks, we have seen an increase in late presentations of some illnesses, and this is leading to sicker children.
In this video, you can learn about the extra safety precautions in place to protect you and your child.
We are here for you.
And nearly 13,000 children will come to Elliot Hospital Emergency Department this year, more than any other hospital in New Hampshire. Most of these children are cared for in our 4-bed dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department. Our entire staff is prepared to care for any emergency your child may have, including pediatric emergency physicians, emergency physicians, and nurses and staff with advanced training in pediatric issues.
Designed for children and their families, the four private rooms in the Pediatric Emergency Department offer a welcoming atmosphere with friendly décor, TV's with DVD players, and of course the most advanced child-sized medical equipment. Additionally, the emergency rooms can accommodate family members who provide valuable emotional support.
Already a Level II Trauma Center, Elliot Hospital is becoming a Pediatric Trauma Center to provide care to the most critically ill and injured children. Supported by inpatient and outpatient pediatric specialists, children receive the best care possible.
