COVID-19 Survivor Thanks Elliot Employees for Saving His Life

After coming to the Elliot Emergency Department in March of 2020 with difficulty breathing, Mark Hagopian was diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted into the hospital. Soon after his admission, his condition worsened. He was put on a ventilator, was in a medically induced coma for 17 days, and spent more than a month at The Elliot.

Hagopian says he received world-class care from the moment he entered the Emergency Department and that he couldn’t have been treated better than he was during his stay. Now, more than a year after he first became ill, he is thanking the incredible employees who helped save his life.

As a small token of his appreciation, Hagopian thanked staff on Wednesday, June 2, and gave them a small keepsake: a superhero pin because, he says, they were truly his superheroes.

Hagopian has also partnered with The Mary and John Elliot Charitable Foundation. He became a volunteer for The Elliot and is now raising money to support other people who have faced COVID-19 at The Elliot. You can show your support by donating to the NH COVID-19 Family Relieve Fund.
