Breast Health Screening Services

Breast Health Screening Services

Routine breast cancer screenings are a vital aspect of maintaining good breast health. Statistics show that regular mammogram screenings increase a woman’s chance of finding breast cancer in its earliest stages, which can improve long-term outcomes. At Elliot Breast Health Center, we encourage women to speak with their primary care provider to determine the best screening plan for them.

Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography)

Digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) is an advanced form of mammography that uses low dose x-rays and computer reconstructions to create three-dimensional images of the breast. DBT has proven to be better at finding breast cancer than traditional 2D mammograms. Knowing this, we perform DBT on all mammograms.

Same-day Imaging Interpretation

Patients enrolled in our High-Risk Clinic undergo screening imaging with same-day interpretation done by expert breast radiologists, as well as breast evaluation by a breast specialist.

Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings

We are proud to participate in the NH Breast Cancer Coalition’s ‘Let No Woman Be Overlooked’ initiative by providing free breast health screenings services and cervical cancer screenings to eligible women. Eligible women should be between age 21 to 64, have no health insurance, and must meet specific income guidelines. Call the Breast Health Center for more information.

Oncology Genetics and High-Risk Assessment

Some women with a family history of breast cancer may be at increased risk of developing the disease. Our oncology genetics and high-risk assessment providers give expert guidance in risk assessment, genetic testing, and the development of personalized screening programs. With specialized training in genetics and risk management, our team supports patients in making informed decisions about their care. All high-risk services are offered on-site and in-person to ensure convenience, comfort, and confidentiality.
