Pregnancy and Infant Loss

TEARS Support Group

Bereaved families who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss often benefit from connecting and supporting one another.

The TEARS support group – facilitated by NH TEARS chapter leaders – meets the third Wednesday of every month from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., except in September and December.

Currently the meetings are held via Zoom. There is no registration fee for this group.

You may also want to join the NH Tears Facebook page to learn more about meeting topics and Zoom links.

Meetings are informal and provide an opportunity to share your story and meet others who have had similar experiences.

Caring for our families. We are here for you.

The Memory Garden is an appointed space on Elliot Hospital grounds created as a memorial for pregnancy and infant loss. At its center stands an Angel of Hope statue, designating a special place where families can reflect on their loss and find hope for their grief journey. The Angel of Hope statue is based on the story “The Christmas Box” by Richard Paul Evans.

The Memory Garden is located on a small hill opposite the hospital’s main entrance, and families are welcome to visit at any time.

At Elliot Hospital we have an annual Interment Service in our Memory Garden, held rain or shine, in May on the Sunday before Memorial Day.

The Angel of Hope candlelight ceremony: On December 6th at 7 p.m., we also hold an annual Angel of Hope candlelight service in the Memory Garden.
