Dr. Altabet joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in March of 2021. She graduated from Cornell University with Distinction where she majored in Human Biology, Health and Society. She received her Medical Degree from Stony Brook University. Dr. Altabet completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in NYC where she was chief resident. After residency, she trained as a Fellow in Breast and Body imaging at Northwell Health. She most recently served as a clinical assistant professor and breast imaging radiologist for NYU Langone Health. Dr. Altabet is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and a member of the American College of Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging, Radiological Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Dr. Dalton has been named to New Hampshire Magazine's Top Docs six years in a row. He received his medical degree from St. Louis University, and completed his internships and residencies at the University of Michigan, Department of Surgery and Buffalo General Hospital. Dr. Dalton is the former chief of surgery at Elliot Hospital and has been in practice in New Hampshire since 1977. Dr. Dalton is a member of various associations, including the American Cancer Society and American Society of Breast Surgeons, and a former president of the National Consortium of Breast Centers. He is also a Fellow of American College of Surgeons and has been published in a variety of medical journals and publications. Dr. Dalton has been awarded the 2017 Stephen A. Tzianabos Award for Physician Excellence.
Dr. Doherty joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in March 2021. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College with an AB in Biology and Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience). She earned her MD from Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Doherty completed her internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York. She completed her residency training in radiology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident, and then completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Upon graduation from fellowship, Dr. Doherty joined the faculty at Cornell as an Assistant Professor of Radiology, where she practiced until 2021. While at Cornell, she served as the site director for breast imaging for the Lower Manhattan Hospital, as well as for the Weill Cornell outpatient imaging center in Lower Manhattan. Dr. Doherty is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Breast Imaging. She was named to the Super Doctors New York Rising Stars List in 2020 and 2021.
Dr. Feldman joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in July 2011. She is a graduate of Brandeis University, where she earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Biology. She earned her MD and MBA in Healthcare Management at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Feldman completed her internship at Caritas Carney Hospital in Boston, her residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, and her fellowship in breast imaging at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Feldman is a member of the American College of Radiology committee on Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System – Ultrasound (ACR BI-RADS-US). In addition, she is a contributing author to BI-RADS-US, Second Edition. Dr. Feldman was appointed to the Breast Imaging Section of the ACR Economics and Health Policy Committee.

Dr. Gates joins Elliot Breast Health Center in January, 2019. After earning her undergraduate degree at Hamilton College and her Medical Degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, she completed her General Surgery training at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts followed by a Breast Surgery Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. She comes to us from Connecticut where she was a Breast Surgeon for several years and where she was an Assistant Professor and served as the Breast Surgery Service Chief for The University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She was also the Physician Specialty Director of Patient Experience for Hartford Healthcare Medical Group after earning her Certification in Patient Experience. Dr. Gates is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgeons; she is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Member of The American Society of Breast Surgeons and The Society of Surgical Oncology. She is also certified in Hidden Scar Technique.
Dr. Shikhman joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in September, 2014, after completing her Breast Surgery Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. She received her medical degree at Ross University and completed her internship and residency at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre Pennsylvania. Dr. Shikhman is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and a member of Women in Surgery. Dr. Shikhman is Hidden Scar Certified.
Dr. Jane Primm joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in December, 2013, bringing with her 20 years of experience as a practicing radiologist. After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin and her medical degree at the University of Washington in 1985, she did a year of internship in St. Louis and her Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of California- Davis. She completed her Women’s Imaging Fellowship at the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1993. She joined a private practice in Massachusetts, and served as the president of the Western Massachusetts Radiology Society. She then became an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Vermont, where she was Chief of Breast Imaging Education for the residents. She was Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1992 and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Breast Imaging and the New Hampshire Medical Society.
Denise Jeffery joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in January 2009. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her graduate degree from the University of NH. Denise is an Adult Nurse Practitioner specially trained and certified in breast health exams. She comes to us with over 20 years of Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology experience. Denise is the program coordinator for the Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program for Women (also known as the BCCP) which is held here at the Elliot Breast Health Center. Denise also specializes in Genetic Testing and sees patients in our high risk screening program. She is a member of the Myriad Speakers Bureau, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the Southern New Hampshire Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society. Denise also presents locally and nationally on a number of topics.

Leah is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Rivier College in 2002. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Leah worked in New Hampshire as a Registered Nurse for many years and holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Nursing. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Leah has worked locally in our communities as a primary care provider in Family Medicine. A majority of her primary care practice is focused on women’s health.
Mary Baillargeon is a board-certified physician assistant with 15 years of experience in medical oncology. She joined the Elliot Breast Health Center in October 2022, with a focus in the high-risk screening program, genetic risk assessment, and genetic testing.
Mary earned her master’s degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in 2006. Her experience in medical oncology has developed her interest in cancer genomic medicine. She is devoted to helping patients understand their diagnosis and assisting patients as they navigate their options.
