Substance Use Disorder Services

A substance use disorder (SUD) is a mental disorder that affects an individual’s brain and behavior, leading to the inability to control their use of substances like prescription and over the counter medications, alcohol, and illegal drugs. Addiction is the most severe form of SUD.

Substance Use Disorder Services staff at The Elliot assesses, treats, and supports individuals with SUD who are in or seeking recovery. Our multidisciplinary team includes licensed mental health and substance use clinicians, psychiatric providers, RNs, case managers, and recovery support staff. Our team also works closely with primary care providers to ensure continuity of care.

Many people struggling with substance use disorder can be treated in an outpatient setting. Depending on your unique needs, you may be referred or choose to participate in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or the Maternal Opioid Misuse (MOM) Program.

At The Elliot, we are here to support you and your loved ones every step of the way as we work together towards your recovery.
