Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP)

Located within The Elliot Emergency Department, this program offers acute psychiatric crisis evaluation, stabilization, and treatment. Staffed by a team of experienced behavioral health nurses, nursing assistants, and mental health workers, we ensure a secure and healing environment for those in urgent need of psychiatric care.

Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT)

Our Behavioral Emergency Response Team stands out in providing specialized support and education across various medical units in Elliot Hospital. BERT's role is crucial in enhancing the care of patients with behavioral health conditions and substance use disorders, ensuring a comprehensive and informed approach to mental health across the hospital.

Geropsychiatric Unit

Discover our pioneering Geropsychiatric Unit, a leader in the field for adults aged 64 and above. As the first of its kind in New Hampshire and the largest in the state, our unit offers inpatient treatment, including involuntary emergency admissions as a state-certified designated receiving facility (DRF). Our multidisciplinary team, specializing in medical, emotional, and geriatric psychiatric care, is dedicated to helping older adults achieve the highest level of independence and functioning.

Pathways provides care to voluntary and involuntary adults aged 18 and older who struggle with safety issues, such as suicidal thinking, homicidal ideation or agitation, and thought disorders or psychosis.
