Daiying Lu, MD is American Board Certified in General Surgery. He received a Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and completed the General Surgery Residency Program at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, MA.
Dr. Lu enjoys all areas of General Surgery, including Laparoscopy, Endocrine, Colorectal, Acute Care and Trauma. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Spanish.
Lisa Guertin, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed a dual degree program at Seton Hall University in New Jersey and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in May of 2008. Lisa joined the Elliot General Surgical Specialists team in October of 2008. She is primarily office based and manages the care of our surgical outpatients. She provides hospital and office based care to the general surgery patients.
Lizabeth O’Connor, DMSc, PA-C, MPH, CPHQ is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Liz obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Gerontology from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA in 2002 and in 2004 earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY. In 2016, she earned an additional Masters Degree in Public Health from UMASS Amherst. She also obtained her CPHQ (Certified Professional in Health Care Quality) credentials in 2017. In 2021 she completed a year-long certification program from Harvard Medical School in Clinical Research. Additionally, she is a certified principle investigator for clinical trials. In June 2023, she received her Doctorate in Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg.
She has worked as a surgical PA in upstate N.Y and Boston since 2004. Liz joined Elliot General Surgical Specialists in April of 2009.She served as the Chief Surgical PA for general, thoracic, vascular, trauma and acute care surgery from 2017 to 2020 before moving on to oversee surgical quality and clinical research in addition to her clinical role.
