About Lizabeth A O'Connor, PA-C, DMSc, MPH

Lizabeth O’Connor, DMSc, PA-C, MPH, CPHQ is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Liz obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Gerontology from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA in 2002 and in 2004 earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY. In 2016, she earned an additional Masters Degree in Public Health from UMASS Amherst. She also obtained her CPHQ (Certified Professional in Health Care Quality) credentials in 2017. In 2021 she completed a year-long certification program from Harvard Medical School in Clinical Research. Additionally, she is a certified principle investigator for clinical trials. In June 2023, she received her Doctorate in Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg.

She has worked as a surgical PA in upstate N.Y and Boston since 2004. Liz joined Elliot General Surgical Specialists in April of 2009.She served as the Chief Surgical PA for general, thoracic, vascular, trauma and acute care surgery from 2017 to 2020 before moving on to oversee surgical quality and clinical research in addition to her clinical role.
