Our community is seeing a surge in influenza and respiratory illness, which may lead to longer wait times in the Emergency Department.

Career Development

Career Development

Healthcare is a profession with many possible career paths. Here at The Elliot, we want our employees to have long and meaningful careers! We are committed to working with you to develop a rewarding career path that provides many opportunities for learning and growth.

Elliot Health System offers a variety of apprenticeship programs, ESOL classes and professional career coaching.

Apprenticeship Programs

An apprenticeship program is a structured system of training that combines paid on-the-job experience with classroom instruction to teach individuals the skills and knowledge needed for a specific trade or profession. These programs are a collaboration between employers, industry organizations, and educational institutions.

Apprentices earn a wage while they learn, and the duration of training varies depending on the occupation. Upon completion, apprentices often receive a nationally recognized credential and may transition into full-time employment in their field.

Apprenticeship programs are a full-time commitment (Monday through Friday). Individuals are required to pass the course and certification/licensure exams.  A two-year work commitment to Elliot Health System is required. Elliot will pay for your course, and you will receive incremental pay increases throughout the program. Your costs might include background checks and exam fees.

If you're interested, please complete the Apprenticeship Program Waitlist form. When a cohort is established for your area of interest, a recruiter will be in contact regarding next steps.
