About Kaitlyn T Carbone, PSYD
Dr. Carbone is a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Elliot Neurocognitive Services. She provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults and older adults, with an emphasis in geriatric neuropsychology. She has specialized training in both inpatient and outpatient settings evaluating for a variety of neurological and neurocognitive issues, such as dementias, stroke, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, seizures, and many other conditions which can impact cognition. Dr. Carbone also has experience conducting pre- and post-surgical neuropsychological evaluations when required for deep brain stimulation surgery and hydrocephalus shunt placement evaluations.
Dr. Carbone has conducted research on cognition in patients with dementias and movement disorders which she has presented at national and international conferences. She is currently involved in research studies exploring symptom presentation in patients with early- and late- onset primary progressive aphasia and inter-rater reliability of cognitive screener scoring across healthcare professions and settings. In addition, Dr. Carbone is an active member of several professional organizations and serves as a committee member for the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology's Early Career Committee. She is committed to enhancing the understanding of neuropsychology for both healthcare professionals and individuals in the community and enjoys speaking engagements which allow her to do so, including serving as the keynote speaker for a local university's Brain Science Awareness Week. She is also involved in teaching and providing mentorship and supervision for the next generation of clinical neuropsychologists.
Dr. Carbone is committed to compassionate, patient‑centered care and values collaboration with patients, their loved ones, and multidisciplinary teams. Her goal is to provide clear results and individualized recommendations that help patients and their care partners better understand and manage cognitive and neurological concerns. In her personal time, Dr. Carbone enjoys embroidery and spending time outdoors with her rambunctious German Shepherd.
