About Eileen E Murray, MD

Eileen (Semancik) Murray, MD, a board-certified pediatrician, earned a doctor of medicine from University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science in molecular and cell biology from University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut.

Dr. Murray completed her pediatric residency program at Brown Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital, both in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Murray loves working with children and finds that “pediatrics is such a special field, as not only are patients entrusting you with their care, but their families are as well. I love to get to know my patients, their families, their values and concerns. This allows me to offer my expertise as a physician to work with them towards their health goals.”

As a parent herself, Dr. Murray finds it helpful to connect with parents on shared struggles like picky eating or sleep training. “I think if they know that their pediatrician has experienced it too, it gives them fuel to keep trying.”

Dr. Murray has a special clinical interest in lactation medicine. She enjoys supporting new moms with lactation, pumping, transitioning to bottles, and stopping pumping.

She enjoys spending her free time with her family, which includes her young son and two dogs. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and yoga.
