About Lisa M Gallo, APRN

Lisa Gallo, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, has joined Elliot Occupational Health Services.

Gallo practiced as a registered nurse and an advanced practitioner registered nurse in both military and civilian practices for several years before becoming a family nurse practitioner.

She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish, Maine, and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Simmons University in Boston. She completed a nurse practitioner fellowship through Lamprey Healthcare in Amherst and Concord, New Hampshire.

“I wanted to be a family nurse practitioner to provide a higher level of care by spending more time with my patients, educating them and collaboratively developing care plans, something I wasn’t able to do as effectively at the bedside,” Gallo says. “I enjoy building relationships with my patients based on mutual trust, respect and honesty, allowing us to address their overall well-being and identifying obstacles to living their healthiest life.”

She says her experiences in the emergency department, urgent care and primary care have provided her with a good foundation for her work in occupational medicine.

In her spare time, Gallo enjoys reading, crocheting, cooking, skiing and spending time with her husband and son.
