About Stephen B Marko, MD

Stephen Marko, MD, MPH received his fellowship training in critical care at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He earned his medical degree as well as his Master of Public Health degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed a residency in emergency medicine at the Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Marko joins the Elliot Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit bringing his expertise from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, and the Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in both West Haven, CT, and White River Junction, VT. In addition, he is a medical officer in the US Navy Reserve, caring for the Marines and sailors who serve our country.

Dr. Marko is passionate about treating both critically ill patients and emergency patients with empathy and humanity during what could be one of the most challenging times in their lives.

When away from the hospital, he enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with his wife, dogs, and growing family.
